Visit New Zealand's remarkable Denize Bluffs farm. 

Embark on a guided tour through this magnificent hidden valley location.

Featuring as Trollshaws Forest  in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and 

Greenwood the Great in TV series "Lord of the Rings; The Rings of Power"

After a short mini-van ride through a beautiful New Zealand working farm, you'll get to then walk through unusual rock formations, beneath spectacular limestone cliffs and into primeval native New Zealand forest.  Be entertained with stories about the farm and the film-making process and stand in the footsteps of the actors.

• Tour duration is at least 2 hours

• Tour time: 10:00 am (please check in at 9.45am) 

• Tour Location: 1411 Mangaotaki Road, Piopio.  

• Driving directions:  Travel on State Highway 3 (SH3) to Piopio then follow signage from southern end of town.  You'll drive along the Mangaotaki Road for at least 15 minutes before reaching Hairy Feet Tours.  USE THESE DIRECTIONS AS SOME GPS UNITS CAN UNNECESSARILY TAKE YOU ON A LONGER ROUTE VIA GRAVEL ROADS.

• There is no public transport from Piopio to Hairy Feet Tours.  All visitors must drive themselves.

• Transport to the film sites is in a modern comfortable mini-van or in a modern side-by-side ATV.   At the film location sites there are well formed and maintained walking tracks. 

• Bring comfortable footwear and clothing to suit all weather conditions.

*Under Health & Safety Regulations we must provide a separate seat for everyone in our van. If you are bringing your baby, please ensure you have a regulation Baby Car Seat.
